NCAA DIII
Colleges and universities in Division III place the highest priority on the overall quality of the educational experience and on the successful completion of all students’ academic programs. They seek to establish and maintain an environment in which a student-athlete’s athletics activities are conducted as an integral part of the student-athlete’s educational experience, and an environment that values cultural diversity and gender equity among their student-athletes and athletics staff.
Neecc
The purpose of the New England East Coast Conference is to maintain a balance of high academic and athletic standards. We align ourselves with the values set forth by the NCAA Division III philosophy statement. We strive for equal opportunities for male and female student-athletes and their development as a member of the community. We believe that athletics should be a fully integral aspect of the educational program of each of the colleges in the conference. We are committed to providing an athlete with the greatest possible opportunities for success, both on and off the field. We ensure every sport is valued and place importance on reaching one’s potential. We strive to teach athletes leadership, equality, diversity, collaboration and sportsmanship. Together we seek to create a competitive environment with intellectual, spiritual and physical development of each student-athlete to advance our institution. As members of the NCAA, Division III, the conference strives to be leaders within that organization while maintaining and establishing those principles and all they imply. Our five colleges, universities and institutions are always working to fulfill the Division III missions of passion, sportsmanship, responsibility, and citizenship.
